WASHINGTON, D.C. (Wireless Flash) – Fans of Star Wars are banding together to help a Canadian man who has been sued by director George Lucas. Last month, Lucasfilm Limited sued 34-year-old Gerardo Follano for selling homemade replicas of the armor worn by Darth Vader’s storm troopers – but it now appears the suit will soon be settled. It seems more than 300 sci-fi fans have sent letters demanding Lucasfilm drop the case and sources at the film company confirm they’re close to resolving the matter. Meanwhile, a lawyer who has been consulting Follano says he believes the turn of events was definitely helped by the “...fantastic outpouring of support” from Star Wars fans.
