KIDS ENCOURAGED TO DIG FOR DINO BONES IN THEIR BACKYARD

ROCHESTER, Mich. (Wireless Flash) – A Michigan-based company is digging up interest in dinosaurs by encouraging kids to dig for bones in their own back yard. The Dinosaur Recovery Bureau gets kids to dig in their back yard by sending them a letter masquerading as an official research group asking for the kids’ help in locating bones. Of course the bones have already been purchased and placed in the backyard by mom or dad before the letter arrives. The company sells the polyresin bones for around $10 for T-Rex teeth up to $100 for a velociraptor skull. Owner John Ribbing says folks may think it might lead to kids digging up an entire backyard to find the bones, but he assures that can’t happen since parents are supposed to instruct kids to dig where the bones are buried.
