BATHROOM READING CAN BE A PAIN IN THE BUTT

CARMICHAEL, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – It may be National Bathroom Reading Week but, if you’re not careful, reading in the loo can be a real pain in the rear. That’s the straight poop from colon hydrotherapist Melanie Manning, who says sitting on the can for long periods increases the risk of hemorrhoids. Although many people can’t complete their business unless they’re reading, Manning says you’re better off reading short articles when sitting on the pot instead of novels that keep you gripped to the edge of the seat. In addition, she recommends folks avoid a gut-wrenching experience by not reading upsetting, disgusting or controversial material while on the john.
