LARRY HARMON TO INTRODUCE ‘ROBO-BOZO’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Although Bozo The Clown’s TV show goes off the air August 26, don’t expect him to stop clowning around. Larry Harmon, the brains behind Bozo, is getting ready to introduce a mechanical robot version of the clown next week in New York. The so-called “Robo-Bozo” is a life-sized version of the clown programmed to ride a bike, sing, and say trademark phrases like “That’s a Bozo no-no” and “Whoa, Nellie.” The computerized clown costs $6000 and is intended mainly for video arcades and pizza parlors. It will be offically introduced June 12 at the Licensing 2001 convention in New York.
