BRIAN WILSON: ‘STANDING OVATIONS CURE STAGE FRIGHT’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Performing on stage has never been easy for Beach Boys composer Brian Wilson, but in recent years, he’s discovered a unique cure for stage fright: Standing ovations. Wilson, who is currently touring with Paul Simon, says he still gets nervous before each show but, recently, whenever he walks out on stage, he’s been getting standing ovations. In his words, “That makes it a lot easier.” Wilson’s latest musical project is Hawthorne, CA, a new CD documentary about the Beach Boys that he admits he still hasn’t listened to because it “brings up so much sorrow about my family.”
