DON FRANCISCO GETS HOLLYWOOD STAR

DON FRANCISCO GETS HOLLYWOOD STAR

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – Friday (June 8) should be a “gigante” day for fans of the Spanish-language variety show Sabado Gigante. The show’s popular host, 60-year-old Don Francisco, will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, becoming the first entertainer from Chile to receive the honor. For those not in the know, Francisco is sort of a Latino Ed Sullivan, whose Saturday night variety show has been on the air for nearly 40 years and is seen by 100 million people around the globe. Gloria Estefan and Cheech Marin are among the celebrities expected to show up at Friday’s unveiling.
