ANTHONY QUINN’S FINAL REGRET: GIVING UP TONGUE SANDWICHES

BOSTON, Mass. (Wireless Flash) – Anthony Quinn lived to be 86 with just one gripe about growing old: Not being able to eat his beloved beef tongue sandwiches. Shortly before his death on Sunday, Quinn told New York gossip reporter Baird Jones that the “toughest part of getting old” was giving up boiled beef tongue sandwiches. For decades, Quinn ate several boiled beef tongue sandwiches a day and credited them with giving him the energy to father a child at age 78. However, in his last years, he only ate vegetables because, in his words, “They are such a small step away from the life spirit of Earth.”
