A ‘WE ARE THE WORLD’ FOR DOT-COM BOMBS

A ‘WE ARE THE WORLD’ FOR DOT-COM BOMBS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Struggling dot-com employees are about to get an earful of pity from radio listeners. A Florida-based comedian and impressionist is currently working on a dot- com flop song which will spoof the 1985 charity hit “We Are The World.” Comedian Rich Natole says his tune – “We Are The Web” – hasn’t been recorded yet, but some of the lyrics include: We are the web, we are the dot coms/ We are the ones who make a hamster dance/ So let’s start surfing. Natole plans to sing the song using 16 different celebrity voices, including Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. Unlike the hunger victims who benefitted from “We Are The World,” unemployed dot-commers won’t see any money from the “We Are The Web” spoof. Instead, copies of the tune will be given away free at robomusic.com.
