TREE THEME PARK GOES OUT ON A LIMB

GILROY, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – A former grocery store owner is really going out on a limb with his latest venture – a theme park based on trees. Tree lover Michael Bonfante plans to open his tree theme park in Gilroy, California, next month and the centerpiece will be a collection of 25 oddly- shaped sycamores known as “circus trees.” The trees have been bent and grafted together to form nature-defying shapes such as hearts, lightning bolts and woven baskets. The tree theme park will also feature a 39-foot-tall swing shaped like a mushroom and “The Garlic Twirl,” an amusement ride which spins riders around in giant bulbs of garlic.
