SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – It’s not unusual to be a Tom Jones fan but one man is taking his devotion to a higher level. Pastor Jack Stahl of Sacramento, California, claims listening to Tom’s tunes can help a person reach enlightenment. Preacher Stahl says listening to the singer’s “divine” voice helps him get in touch with the holy spirit. He even dresses like the singer when he performs sermons, weddings and exorcisms for his 200-member congregation. Stahl also claims that listening to Tom’s hits cause him to start spontaneously “speaking in tongues” and imitating the singer’s Welsh accent. He may fervently preach the gospel of Tom, but Pastor Stahl also warns churchgoers not to offend the holy spirit by throwing panties at him during sermons.
