UNICYCLE PASTOR TRAVELS ON A WHEEL & A PRAYER

TUCSON, Ariz. (Wireless Flash) – You’ve heard of getting by on a wing and a prayer, but a pastor in Tucson, Arizona, prefers a wheel. Preacher Robert Waldron plans to raise money for his church by riding a unicycle 430 miles from Nogales, Arizona, to the Grand Canyon. Although unicycling seems a strange way to save souls, Waldron says it helps spread his message that “everyone has a gift they need to develop.” The Peddling Pastor will start his trek September 4 and expects to spend one month on the road, traveling about 50 miles per day at a 12 mile-per-hour clip. Pastor Waldron admits that’s about all he can take before he starts feeling “seat pain,” so he hopes someone will donate supplies to make the journey more comfortable – including a few tubes of hemorrhoid cream.
