TRACI LORDS: ‘REDHEADS HAVE MORE FUN’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Whoever says blondes have more fun could get into an argument with actress Traci Lords. The 33-year-old former porn star spent years as a blonde but now says she prefers being a redhead. Lords dyed her hair red for her new Sci-Fi Channel series, First Wave, where she plays Jordan the freedom fighter, and claims the new hue has given her personal freedom as well. She says that when she was blonde, show biz insiders would dismiss her more quickly. However, ever since she got the crimson locks, Lords says she’s taken more seriously and “less bimboey.” It must have worked. Lords has just been hired as a spokeswoman for Alize Cognac. Now she hopes to spread the word that redheads have more fun by hosting something called “Operation Redhead II” in which 250 women will dye their hair red on June 4.
