MAN FINDS GOD THROUGH HIS CAT

MINNEAPOLIS (Wireless Flash) – Many people may think the church can’t offer them anything spiritually, but one Minneapolis man thinks his cat is a good substitute. Don Holt, a retired Catholic lay minister, says he’s closer to God thanks to an orphaned kitty named “Katie.” Holt says he started looking at his relationship with God through the eyes of the cat. When Holt took Katie in he was unemployed but saw that he cried out for work in the same way Katie cried out for her morning food. Also, Holt contemplated if God enjoyed being stared at the way Katie stared at him. Although Katie has since passed on, Holt has learned from her that we are connected to God in ways he wouldn’t have seen before, and that we should lead simpler lives like cats do.
