HICKORY, N.C. (Wireless Flash) – The current craze for all things Aussie is hitting the furniture world. A North Carolina furniture manufacturer has just introduced a line of Down Under-inspired sofas and tables that are becoming hotter than the outback set of Survivor. North Carolina-based Century Furniture Industries says the new “Matilda Bay” line is the company’s most successful product launch ever. One of the items in the Aussie furniture line is “The Kangaroo Kouch,” a sofa which features aboriginal art-like designs and mottled leather from Down Under cattle. Staying true to Australia’s rugged image, the leather still shows visible scars, bug bites and wrinkles from the cows it came from.
