ARLINGTON, Texas (Wireless Flash) – Here’s a twisted vacation idea: Spend your summer chasing tornadoes. A veteran storm chaser from Arlington, Texas, is offering 10-day tornado watching trips through America’s “Tornado Alley.” Martin Lisius says tourists will travel up to 400 miles a day in the hopes of observing powerful thunderstorms and tornadoes up close. If you think coming that close to a twister is dangerous, think again, because Lisius says “...you have to work pretty hard to get hit by a tornado.” In fact, he claims tornado tourists are at a greater risk of being hit by a car while chasing a storm than they are of getting hurt by the storm itself.
