WORLD’S FASTEST PIZZA MAKER RAKES IN MORE DOUGH

SARASOTA, Florida (Wireless Flash) – Pizza-making may not be considered a sport but try telling that to Rene De Guia, the world’s fastest pizza maker. Last year, 29-year-old De Guia set a record by making 14 pizzas in 2 minutes and 14 seconds – but he’s not stopping there. Next Monday (Apr. 14), De Guia will defend his pizza crust crown in Las Vegas against nine saucy contenders who work at Domino’s Pizza chains from as far away as Taiwan. Although the top pizza maker will only win $5000, De Guia is obsessed with winning and has spent the last year running, weight-lifting and making 600 pizzas a day. He also meditates to help deal with the adrenaline rush he feels when kneading the dough. It may sound cheesy but De Guia says the title isn’t as important to him as it is his co-workers.
