‘SOPRANOS’ CAST MEMBER REALLY A BASS BARITONE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – A cast member of the HBO mob drama, The Sopranos, hopes his new CD will bring new meaning to the term, “Number one with a bullet.” Actor Dominic Chianese – who plays crusty patriarch “Uncle Junior” – is getting ready to release his first CD, titled – what else? – Hits. The 70-year-old singer may star on The Sopranos but he’s really a baritone with nearly 50 years experience in musical theater. Although Chianese considered following Frank Sinatra’s footsteps, he never recorded until now because he didn’t think his father would approve. However, Chianese is making up for lost time and hopes to get mobbed with praise for his renditions of traditional Italian tunes such as “State Vicino a Me (Stay Close To Me)” and originals like “True Love Still On My Mind.” The CD will hit stores on June 5.
