FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA: AMERICA’S LEAST PHOTOGENIC CITY

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Fargo, North Dakota, has just been declared “America’s Least Photogenic City.” Fuji Films recently commissioned a study to determine America’s most photogenic cities based on climate, cultural diversity, historic sites, topography and coastline. When the final votes were tallied, San Francisco was No. 1 while Fargo was dead last out of 190 cities. Study organizer Bert Sperling says Fargo gets the low rating because it’s flat, has few tourist attractions and lacks culture. That’s fighting words for the folks of Fargo. A spokesman for the town’s tourism department admits Fargo is flat but claims that allows photographers to get “more intimate” shots of wildlife. Tourism official Cole Carley also admits that while Fargo doesn’t have a lot of local attractions, it does have lots of attractive people – including former natives Angie Dickinson and Jessica Lange.
