LAW STUDENTS SLAM THE GAVEL ON ‘JUDGING AMY’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – The CBS legal show, Judging Amy, is getting judged by law students – and the verdict isn’t good. The law magazine JD Jungle asked UCLA law students to judge the accuracy of TV law shows and Judging Amy was given the harshest sentence. The students say the show has no discussion of law and is just emotional arguments with Amy doing whatever she wants. Other legal shows that break the rules of law include Power Of Attorney, which is accused of portraying attorneys as “...outrageous, obnoxious jerks...” and copycat shows like Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown and Judge Mills Lane. They all receive low marks for not being about the law but about giving folks the “opportunity to call another person an idiot.”
