TV MAGICIAN STILL TURNING TRICKS

TV MAGICIAN STILL TURNING TRICKS

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) – Old dogs can’t learn new tricks but old magicians can. Case in point: 66-year-old Marshall Brodien. Back in the 1970s, Brodien was known for his commercials for “TV Magic Cards” which promised would-be Houdinis “hours of fun entertaining your family and friends.” Brodien also played “Wizzo the Wizard” on the Bozo Show back in the early ’80s. These days, he spends much of his time conjuring up tricks for magicians like Siegfried and Roy and Lance Burton. And, although some illusionists like David Copperfield believe bigger is better in magic, Brodien doesn’t think size matters. He says the best tricks use everyday objects. In fact, he’s considering devising a new trick inspired by a salt shaker.
