`SCREECH' STILL SETTING SIGHTS ON SHAGGY

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- The live-action motion picture version of "Scooby-Doo is scheduled for release later this year, and actor Dustin Diamond still thinks he'd make a great Shaggy. Diamond -- who played "Screech" on Saved By The Bell -- believes Shaggy is the role he's destined to play -- even though actor Matthew Lilliard has already been cast to play the cartoon hippie, The 24-year-old Diamond says he's even willing to show up on the Scooby set dressed as Shaggy to convince the powers-that-be to cast him instead of Lilliard. Diamond is so obsessed with Shaggy that he's been taking lessons on pitch, cadence and phrasing from Casey Kasem, who provided the original cartoon voice. In the meantime, Diamond has just released a four-hour chess instruction video titled, Dustin Diamond Teaches Chess.
