`LA VIDA LOCA' COMPOSER LOCO OVER RICKY MARTIN'S INAUGURAL PERFORMANCE

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Ricky Martin's decision to perform for George W. Bush is sounding a bum note with the man who wrote "Living La Vida Loca." Songwriter and former Menudo member Robi Draco Rosa says Martin's performance at this weekend's inaugural ball will be "a betrayal of everything that every Puerto Rican should stand for" and "offensive to anyone with a shade of brown." Rosa says he's tired of Bush using Latinos like Martin as political props and claims Martin's agreement to sing "The Cup Of Life," at the Inauguration is the equivalent of "playing the fiddle while Rome burns." Although Rosa isn't thrilled Ricky will be singing his ditties to President Bush, he says it's just his own opinion and doesn't suggest boycotting the singer.
