`CHICO AND THE MAN' MARATHON NO JOKE FOR FREDDIE PRINZE, JR.

BEVERLY HILL, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- An upcoming "Chico And The Man" marathon may not be a laughing matter for actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. Starting January 20, the TV Land cable network will be airing 48 hours of the '70 sitcom -- which starred Prinze's dad, comedian Freddie Prinze. The elder Prinze committed suicide in 1977 when his son was just a tot, and Beverly Hills-based psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman fears Prinze, Jr. could suffer a traumatic experience if he watches the full 48 hours of the "Chico And The Man" marathon. She says the 24-year-old actor may feel pride for his pop while watching the first few hours of the marathon -- but watching any longer than that could trigger feelings of depression or anger. Dr. Lieberman also suggests Prinze have gal pal Sarah Michelle Geller by his side so she can hold his hand if he starts blubbering like a baby.
