`HANNIBAL' FILM GRISLIER THAN `SILENCE'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Film fans probably won't be silent when "Hannibal," the sequel to "Silence Of The Lambs," opens next month. According to "Total Movie" magazine, "Hannibal" will be filled with grisly scenes that, in some cases, are played for laughs. For instance, there's one scene in which Anthony Hopkins' character, Hannibal Lecter, cuts into Ray Liotta's head while he's still alive. If that doesn't make you lose your lunch, how about this? Lecter feeds Liotta sauteed portions of his own brain. Another appetizing sequence reportedly has Lecter forcing co-star Gary Oldman to cut off his own face and feed pieces of it to dogs. "Hannibal" opens nationally on February 9.
