GERMAN PHYSICIST BECOMES BERLIN'S BUDDY HOLLY

BERLIN (Wireless Flash) -- The newest musical fad could be "rhineland rock" if a German physicist-turned-musician has his way. 51-year-old physicist Rainer Schottlaender has just recorded a CD that he believes could make him the "Berlin Buddy Holly." Some of the Deutschland ditties -- which are all in English -- include titles like "Sex In Space," "You Don't Pay Any Taxes," and "Highway To L.A," a love song inspired by a woman who bumped into the musician's car. However, Schottlaender thinks the CD's biggest hit could be, "U-u-u Unicycle Girl," which he claims is very popular with the kids in Berlin. If the CD becomes a global hit, the rocking physicist says he hopes to tour the world.
