BUSH'S PETS TO CAUSE A REAL WHITE HOUSE MESS?

DAYTON, Ohio (Wireless Flash) -- The real election mess could happen when George W. Bush moves his pets into the White House. Experts say the fact that Socks, the White House Cat has spent eight years marking it with his scent will make it a challenge for Bush's cats to adjust. Dr. Dan Carey of the Iams pet food company says cats are very territorial and feel compelled to mark their territory, often by spraying it with urine. He says the Bush cats -- named "India" and "Ernie" -- will surely detect scents from Socks the cat long after the Clintons have moved out. They may also try to erase any scents with their own urine. Dr. Carey recommends President and Mrs. Bush keep their kitties confined to one room of the White House -- unless they want guests to the Lincoln bedroom to be greeted with the stench of cat pee.
