ALICIA SILVERSTONE GETS `FOOT IN THE MOUTH' AWARD

NEW MILLS, U.K. (Wireless Flash) -- "Clueless" star Alicia Silverstone is being accused of being clueless herself when it comes to the English language. A British-based organization called the "Plain English Campaign" is awarding the actress with its "Foot In Mouth" award for a quote she provided to London's "Sunday Telegraph" newspaper. Silverstone told the paper: "I think that [the film] "Clueless" was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness." The award is given out annually to the person guilty of saying a "truly baffling verbal statement."
