SEARS TURNING TO 10-YEAR-OLDS FOR FASHION ADVICE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Fashion is becoming child's play for the Sears department store chain: It's just assigned two 10-year-olds to become "style advisors" for the retail chain. Fifth-grader Johna Nivens from Owings Mills, Maryland, is one of the two pint-sized fashion gurus and she admits she's considered one of the best dressed kids at her elementary school. She thinks Sears needs to improve its clothes for kids by stocking more crocheted shirts, satin pants and skirts with beads at the bottom. With a boy's view is 10-year-old Ian McAreavy of Weddington, North Carolina, who estimates he shops for clothes two full months out of the year. He predicts Harry Potter shirts, zip-off pants and rugby shirts will be hot stuff for kids.
