HANK WILLIAMS III: `COUNTRY MUSIC MADE ME A DRUNK'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Looks like country music drove Hank Williams III to drink -- literally. Williams, who is grandson of legendary drunk Hank Williams, tells "GQ" magazine that he "never drank at all hardly" before he started playing country music -- although he admits to smoking "a ton of pot." Hank III says the job forced him to become a boozehound so he could understand the mindset of "the other old ... drunks." He says he's so committed to being true to his country music heritage that he even broke up with his girlfriend of seven years just so he could "have something to write about."
