READ IT AND WIPE: POLITICAL BATHROOM ADS FOUND EFFECTIVE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Any candidates looking to get a last-minute boost today may want to toss their campaign down the toilet -- literally. It seems advertising in public bathrooms is highly effective according to a new study by DiMassimo Brand Advertising. The company randomly placed written statements about Al Gore and George W. Bush in several New York City rest rooms. The results? 62 percent of folks remembered the exact message in the bathroom political ads, compared to only 16 percent who remembered advertisements on a billboard. The survey also reveals the urinal is the area folks are most likely to notice political ads, followed by the back door of the stall.
