CALIFORNIA CLUB OFFERS KIDDIE KARAOKE

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- A restaurant in Southern California is bringing new meaning to the term "kidding around" -- it's offering something called kiddie karaoke. McCabe's Beach Club in Oceanside, California, is, so far, the only bar in the United States that allows kids to sing karaoke and it turns out most of them sing better than the adults. Disc jockey Clay Colton says so far, the most popular acts for the Barney bunch are Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and Christina Aguilera but some small-fry Sinatras prefer to croon to the Doors or Judy Garland. Although McCabe's has been packed since it started letting kids onstage, Colton doesn't think other clubs will jump on the kiddie karaoke bandwagon mainly because "most three year olds don't buy alcohol."
