YANKEES SCORE MORE POINTS THAN METS WITH COLLECTORS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- No matter who wins the World Series, the New York Yankees still score higher with memorabilia collectors than the Mets. That's according to the collectibles experts at Beckett.com, who say Yankees artifacts sell for more than Mets memorabilia. For instance, a baseball signed by Yanks shortstop Derek Jeter is selling for $150 while a Mike Piazza baseball can be had for only $90. In addition, a ball autographed by Yankee manager Joe Torre sells for $50 while a Bobby Valentine ball is only worth $35. The price discrepency isn't just for the Subway Series. The most valuable Mets card -- a 1968 Topps rookie card featuring Nolan Ryan and Jerry Koosman -- is worth $800 while a 1952 Mickey Mantle rookie card sells for a whopping $18,000.
