SHRINK ANALYZES ROCK STARS FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE

GLASTONBURY, Conn. (Wireless Flash) -- Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin have been dead for about 30 years -- but that isn't stopping a Connecticut psychologist from analyzing them. Psychologist Gerald Faris says both rockers suffered from something called "borderline personality syndrome" while they were alive. Faris -- co-author of the new book "Living In The Dead Zone" (Trafford) -- says he made his after-life analysis by studying the singers' biographies and holding imaginary therapy sessions. Based on the pretend counseling run throughs, he says it seems Janis would have a better chance of recovering from the disorder than Jim, who was too sadistic and narcissistic to respond to therapy.
