NO BULL: TIJUANA BULLRING TO BECOME E.T. DETECTOR

TIJUANA, Mexico (Wireless Flash) -- It may sound like a load of bull but a Spanish artist hopes to turn a Mexican bullring into a high-tech alien detector. In January, artist Inigo Manglano-Ovalle will cover the floor of a Tijuana bullring with a 120-foot-diameter disc and then suspend a special antenna 70 feet in the air. The completed rig will then broadcast signals it receives from outer space over loud speakers, an FM radio transmitter and the internet. Manglano-Ovalle says any E.T. messages that are picked up by his bullring satellite dish will be a bonus because his mission isn't to discover E.T.s. Instead, he says the dish is a comment on the intense surveillance of the Mexican border by the United States.
