BOB DYLAN DIDN'T INTRODUCE BEATLES TO POT

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- Here's another Beatles rumor that's going up in smoke: Bob Dylan didn't turn the Fab Four onto pot in 1964. According to the new "Beatles Anthology" book, which just hit stores, John, Paul, George and Ringo tried weed on their own in 1960 in Liverpool -- not in a New York hotel room in 1964 with Dylan as was previously thought. Other Beatle bits revealed in the new book... -- Although John once claimed the band got stoned at Buckingham Palace, George says it was just a ciggie and Ringo doesn't remember what they were smoking. -- The band says the worst part about touring was meeting unhealthy people who thought touching a Beatle would cure them. -- And, finally, Paul claims he started the facial hair craze of the late '60s by growing a moustache to hide a swollen lip caused by a moped accident.
