AUSSIE OLYMPICS NOT CAUSING BOOMERANG BOOM

MONROE, La. (Wireless Flash) -- The Sydney Olympics is getting Americans temporarily interested in all things Aussie -- except boomerangs. According to Richard Harrison, a boomerang expert in Monroe, Louisiana, there hasn't been much of a boom in boomerang sales. Part of the problem is publicity. Harrison says even though there are boomerang buffs around the globe, the media doesn't bother to cover international competitions. The other problem is boomerang tossing isn't the most photogenic sport and looks -- as Harrison puts it -- as if "someone is playing frisbee with themselves."
