`HOGAN'S HEROES' MORE ACCURATE THAN `SCHINDLER'S LIST'?

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) -- Last Saturday (Sept. 16) marked the 35th anniversary of the day "Hogan's Heroes," debuted on CBS. Although the POW sitcom was a comedy, one man claims "Hogan's Heroes" is more accurate than "Schindler's List" in its depiction of history. Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel claims evidence suggests that relations between POWs and their Nazi captors were "jovial" and some "Hogan's Heroes" scenes were taken straight from the history books. Zundel -- who claims he learned how to speak English by watching "Hogan's Heroes" -- also believes Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz helped heal U.S.-German relations by showing that Nazis were human. He says he's glad the sitcom is still around to "offset the damage" done by what he calls "propaganda films like "Schindler's List.""
