FILM ROLE FORCES RENEE ZELLWEGER TO FACE HER FOES

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Perky Renee Zellweger was forced to face her foes while preparing for her role in the film version of "Bridget Jones's Diary." The Texas-born actress tells "E Online" she prepped for her role as the "veddy British" book publishing flak by working at the offices of the British firm that publishes "Bridget Jones's Diary." One of Zellweger's duties was to collect any press clippings about the book and film -- but many of the articles panned Renee and described her as all wrong for the role. She says being forced to read her own bad press didn't make her bitter, and claims the majority of people she's met are pleased she's playing the British babe.
