NOVEL PLAN FOR WORLD PEACE: THE CLOTH OF MANY COLORS

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash) -- Could a 1.5-mile-long quilt bring about world peace? That's what some peace activists hope. On September 19th, activists plan to gather in New York City at the United Nations building to unveil "The Cloth of Many Colors" -- a giant quilt made out of old pieces of clothing gathered from around the world. Self-proclaimed spiritual healer James Daniel McManis is coordinating the construction of the massive "Peace Cloth," which contains swatches of everything from bridal gowns to a piece of the shirt Nelson Mandela wore while in jail. McManis says the activists had originally planned to "wrap" the quilt around the building but that plan raised too many hackles with UN security guards.
