LENNON'S GHOST PLAGIARIZING 1965 HIT?

FARGO, N.D. (Wireless Flash) -- Is the ghost of John Lennon ripping off 1960s musician Country Joe McDonald? A woman in Fargo, North Dakota, named Linda Polley who claims she's in contact with Lennon's spirit says he recently dictated a new song to her titled "It's Heaven That We're Fighting For." The lyrics sound very similar to Country Joe's McDonald's 1965 hit, "I Feel Like I'm Fixing To Die Rag" -- especially with lines like "It's 1, 2, 3 It's Heaven We're fighting for/ We don't really want a war/ It's Heaven we're fighting for." Country Joe says he's flattered, but admits it puts him in a legal quandary because he usually gets licensing fees whenever someone parodies his songs. However, he admits in this case it will be difficult to collect any royalties from heaven.
