WRITING CARTOON MUSIC MAKES SINGER ANIMATED

BOSTON, Mass. (Wireless Flash) -- Letters To Cleo leader Kay Hanley is animated over her side job: writing songs for cartoons. Hanley -- whose best known for the 1995 modern rock hit, "Here And Now" -- is the writer and singer behind the songs on "Generation O," a syndicated cartoon series about a kiddie rock band. Although Hanley never watched cartoons as a kid, she was drawn in by the opportunity to write punk songs about bed wetting. But those aren't the only audio tracks on Hanley's docket: She'll also be the voice of Josie in the big screen movie version of "Josie And The Pussycats" which features "She's All That" star Rachael Leigh Cook.
