NEW YORK BUS TERMINAL TO HONOR RALPH KRAMDEN

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- This news will send Jackie Gleason fans to the moon: Ralph Kramden is about to be immortalized in a sculpture. This Monday (Aug. 28), a life-sized statue of Kramden will be unveiled in front of the New York Port Authority Bus Terminal in mid-town Manhattan. The Kramden creation was donated by TV Land and features a plaque which reads: "Jackie Gleason as Ralph Kramden; Bus Driver, Raccoon Lodge Treasurer, Dreamer." Kramden isn't the only TV icon who's being turned into a bust. TV Land also plans on erecting other TV character statues in various spots across America.
