ST. PAUL, Minn. (Wireless Flash) -- Americans apparently believe in clean living -- because 84 percent claim they clean house every day. According to a survey by Scotch-Brite cleaning products, the average American spends about 45 minutes a day cleaning house. Although 33 percent spend more than an hour on chores, 8 percent are slobs who clean less than 15 minutes a day. Other stats... -- 58 percent of Americans say the kitchen is the dirtiest room in their house. -- 50 percent of women go on cleaning binges when stressed, compared to 25 percent of men. -- And 32 percent claim that a dirty house makes them uneasy while 12 percent say it makes them feel "out of control."
