93-YEAR-OLD BEDSPREAD KING RUNS FOR PRESIDENT

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Whoever said old dogs can't learn new tricks never met bespread salesman Al Greenwood. The self-proclaimed "Bedspread King" turns 93 today but instead of looking for an old folks' home, he's planning to move to the White House. The senior, senior citizen has announced he's running for president under the "Party Party" platform, which he claims "believes in having parties for every occasion." The crusty candidate plans to make money for the government by allowing gambling in the White House and by turning Navy destroyers into part-time cruise ships. However, the widowed 93-year-old Greenwood says he has no plans for a first lady -- instead, he plans on holding a monthly mistress contest with himself as the prize.
