DRAG QUEENS CHEER 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF `ROCKY HORROR'

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" celebrates its 25th anniversary today (Aug. 14) but it won't be a drag for America's drag queens. According to L.A.-based drag queen Bijoux Deluxe, before the cult film hit big, Halloween was the only time when the average Joe could get away with dressing up in frilly panties and garters. Bijoux writes for the cross dressers' magazine "Girl Talk" and claims many men consider "Rocky Horror" to be a turning point which opened up the doors for "sweet transvestites." 25 years later "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is still making an impact, and Bijoux says she still sees men dressed up like Tim Curry's "Fran N. Furter" transvestite character at Halloween.
