DANCERS TO HOLD `MILLION MAMBO MARCH'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Think you've heard the end of all those "million person marches?" Guess again. Now comes word of the "Million Mambo March." A group of disgruntled dancers is planning on holding a toe-tapping demonstration in Manhattan later this month to protest an antiquated city ordinance that prohibits dancing in bars not zoned for rump shaking. Organizers from the Dance Liberation Front say the Million Mambo March will consist of thousands of costumed conga dancers who will perform the mambo down a 10-block stretch in Greenwich Village. A spokesman for the fleet-footed protesters says the group hopes to convince lawmakers to repeal the 1920s-era law.
