MARILYN MONROE IMPERSONATORS NOT INVITED TO TRIBUTE

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Tomorrow (Aug. 5) marks the 38th anniversary of the day sex symbol Marilyn Monroe died. In honor of the anniversary, hundreds of Monroe maniacs will be gathering at her grave at Pierce Brothers Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles. The event is open to the public, but it's requested that fans not dress up as the actress. Victoria Skalyet of the Marilyn Monroe Arts and Historical Society says organizers don't want fans to dress up as Marilyn because it might take the spotlight away from the dead actress. Many of Monroe's co-stars and friends are expected to attend and might consider a female impersonator decked out in Monroe's white "Seven Year Itch" dress to be in bad taste.
