BAD DOPE ON THE SET OF BRITISH POT MOVIE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Here's the straight dope on the British pot movie "Saving Grace:" the "wacky tobacky" featured in the film gave crew members horrible headaches. Actress Brenda Blethyn, who plays a matronly ganja grower in the flick, says the plants used in the movie are a special variety grown without THC -- the psychoactive component in pot. Blethyn tells gossip reporter Baird Jones the impotent pot plants aroused curiosity from crew members, who tried sneaking a few tokes only to find it caused horrible headaches. The crew members weren't the only ones interested in the plants that packed no punch. She says thieves kept stealing the stuff thinking it was genuine ganja. "Saving Grace" opens in theaters Friday (Aug. 4)
