LITTLE-KNOWN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE RECEIVING DEATH THREATS?

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Talk about character assassination: A presidential candidate from Thousand Oaks, California, claims he's getting death threats from his competitors. Richard Scott, a 36-year-old consultant, declared his candidacy a few weeks ago with his key platform being the abolishment of Congress. Although he hasn't shown up in any political polls yet, Scott claims Al Gore and George W. Bush's campaign supporters feel so threatened that they've been calling him up with death threats. So far, he claims to have received seven threatening phone calls telling him things such as "Dropping out would be good for your health," and "You won't live to see the day you're sworn in." Scott says he refuses to supply the FBI with tape recordings of the messages, but no matter what happens, he thinks the threats are a sign that some higher authority thinks he has a chance of winning the race.
