ISLAND PRINCE TO APPEASE GODS WITH MASS FIRE-WALK

PORT VILA, Vanuatu (Wireless Flash) -- It may sound all wet but a Tahitian prince is organizing a mass "fire-walk" to help the victims of a tidal wave. On August 15, Prince Ariipaea Salmon of the Island of Vanuatu will lead a 45-foot-long fire-walk across red hot volcanic stones. Why? The good Prince hopes it will convince the Tahitian Goddess of Love to help 12,000 residents who lost their homes in a tidal wave last November. The Prince has been trying to get some relief from more Earth-bound agencies but hasn't had much luck, so he's turning to the Goddess of Love. His Highness hopes to webcast the fire-walk over the internet, but he admits he's not computer-savvy and he hopes to find a techie willing to donate his or her talent.
